Jeya Aerenson, OMD

My path began at age 11 after a prolonged hospital stay for an orthopedic condition and multiple follow-up surgeries through my teens. In my early twenties, I was finally healed through acupuncture and mind–body practices and it set my life path.

I meet people where they are, offering a supportive space and pace where clients guide their sessions while I support their healing process.

In 1993 I started my private practice which has evolved over the years. Due to my personal healing, I have always held an awareness of the emotional relationship to physical issues. In 2019, I became certified from the Center for Mind Body Medicine and began facilitating groups in Mind-Body practices. This became timely in that I could facilitate groups online during the pandemic. In 2020 I became a supervisor for CMBM. This segued into joining the faculty with Subtle Winds Psilocybin Facilitation Program to teach skills to people seeking certification in Oregon.

As an educator, practitioner, and community member, I have provided trauma-relief support following devastating events in the US and México to help people navigate stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions through a holistic, mind–body approach. I am passionate about continuing to deepen my skills and I love taking (and giving) workshops. After taking a break from practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine, I have returned to it by incorporating this knowledge with Life Coaching and other skills to create Somatic Synthesis.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with my dog Rafa, dancing to Cuban rhythms, and enjoying the beauty of Oregon. Since 2008, I have spent one to two months each year in Oaxaca, MX offering my skills through service projects and learning traditional healing. I get rejuvenated by being in this community and deepening connections in Spanish.

Let’s connect to join a class, workshop, or individual coaching session and deepen your healing process.
